Title：Multi-factor global changes and their impacts on the carbon cycle,freshwater resource and climate: Case studies, opportunities and Challenges

Abstract:

The grand challenge we face is to understand how these multi-factor changes have affected or will affect the global carbon cycle and the climate system in the past and future. By using case histories from China, US, Amazon and the global ecosystem. It will present our efforts in understanding and quantifying the global carbon and water cycles and climate-land use-ecosystem interactions in a multifactor world. It also identify the key uncertainties and opportunities for future research in such an important research area.
